Elisity Releases Version 15.5.0 of their Identity-Based Microsegmentation Solution

We are thrilled to announce the release of Elisity Cloud Control Center version 15.5.0, marking another milestone in our commitment to providing unparalleled network security and identity-based microsegmentation. This release introduces a suite of new features and enhancements, ensuring your networks are more secure, intuitive, and flexible than ever before. Here’s what’s new:

1. Beta Support for Arista 720XP and Cisco Catalyst 9600 Switches:

  • Arista 720XP Switch Support (Beta): We’re extending our support to include Arista 720XP switches, allowing them to be onboarded as Virtual Edge Nodes (VEN) for policy enforcement. This beta feature introduces the ability to leverage our identity-based microsegmentation with Arista access switches, offering a unified experience even in environments with mixed vendor hardware.
  • Cisco Catalyst 9600 Switch Support (Beta): Following suit, Cloud Control Center now also supports Cisco Catalyst 9600 switches for VEN onboarding. This expansion signifies our dedication to accommodating a broad spectrum of network infrastructures under our security umbrella.

2. Enhanced VE/VEN Onboarding Workflow:
We’ve overhauled the VE/VEN onboarding process to enhance intuitiveness, ease of navigation, and visualization. This improvement includes a new Bulk Onboarding workflow and an Activity Panel that provides in-depth insights into every step of the onboarding process.

4. CDP/LLDP Telemetry in IdentityGraph:
Elisity's Virtual Edge now captures and displays CDP/LLDP telemetry for switches onboarded as VENs within IdentityGraph, offering a more comprehensive view of your network topology.

5. Multiple Device Labels and User-Defined Device Types:
To further customize your network’s security posture, Cloud Control Center now supports assigning multiple device labels per device and allows for the definition of custom device types and operating systems within policy groups.

6. Dynamic Device Suppression & Retroactive Enrichment:

  • Dynamic Device Suppression: The Elisity Identity Engine now features dynamic suppression of unstable devices, preventing event floods and unnecessary computational load.
  • Retroactive Device Enrichment: Automatically enrich all previously known devices upon configuring a new connector, streamlining device management without requiring manual re-attachment.

7. Automatic Port Configuration

Elevating operational efficiency, this feature automates the switch port configuration process during VEN onboarding. It enables selective data collection and minimizes unnecessary discovery, focusing security efforts and analytics on relevant endpoints.

This release not only broadens our hardware compatibility but also deepens the functionality and ease of use of the Cloud Control Center. These enhancements are designed to bolster your network's security framework, offering more flexibility and control over how you manage and protect your digital environment.

We invite you to explore these new features and to see for yourself how Elisity Cloud Control Center 15.5.0 can enhance your network security and management capabilities. For more information and detailed documentation, visit our support portal or reach out to our customer service team.
